Bairdi Tanner Crab
Chionoecetes bairdi

Chionoecetes bairdi

The bairdi tanner crab can be distinguished from the opilio by several features. Notably, the area above the maxillipeds dips down in a V on the bairdi, while it is straight across on opilio, giving the bairdi a sort of buck-toothed look.
