Tau Beta Pi- Washington Alpha, University of Washington
About Tau Beta Pi
Tau Beta Pi is the only engineering national honor society that recognizes academic achievement across all engineering disciplines. The University of Washington chapter was founded in June 1912, making it one of the oldest in the country. Since its inception, it has carried a tradition of recognizing students who exemplify the superior standard of UW engineers. Every fall and spring quarter, we invite the top eighth of the junior class and top fifth of the senior class to join us in our mission to uphold this tradition. On a national level, Tau Beta Pi has 229 collegiate chapters that have initiated a total of 477,682 members.
