General Meetings
General meetings occur approximately every other week while classes are in session. The topic of these meetings is the status of the local SWE section along with any upcoming events of interest. We regularly try to schedule outside speakers and other resources to help our members through their academic and professional engineering career. Evening with Industry (EWI)
Evening with Industry is a unique event for both students and employers. It consists of two components: a career fair during the day and an awards banquet in the evening. The career fair is open to all students looking for internships and full time employment in the fields of engineering, science, or technology. The awards banquet features a keynote speaker and honors outstanding female students from each of the engineering departments. It also provides an opportunity for students and recruiters to interact in a more casual setting.
Outreach
The members of the Society of Women Engineers beleive strongly in giving their time and energy back to the community in which they are involved. We regulary host outreach weekends typically where we team up with Washington MESA to help inspire and motivate young aspiring engineers.
