First, the banquet is a wonderful opportunity for students and companies to talk for a long period in a more relaxed setting -- converse for an extended period of time in a more relaxed setting and without the distractions of long lines or stacks of resumes. Second, the banquet provides an opportunity for the Society of Women Engineers to recognize outstanding female engineering students in the awards ceremony.

Each booth registration includes two corporate dinner tickets with an option to purchase additional corporate tickets so the whole recruiting team can attend.

Keynote Speaker
Please click on the link below to access information regarding the keynote speaker
Julie-Ellen Acosta. The document is in pdf. http://www.box.net/shared/ipwtb6igww

Why should I purchase student tickets? Each student attending the banquet needs a ticket to attend, and to get that ticket they will come and talk to your representatives. There are two ways to purchase student tickets -- tickets can be purchased in half-table blocks, or whole-table blocks.

About student tickets, half-tables, and full-tables

Half-tables
A half-table seats a total of four people. When you purchase a half-table you will receive two student tickets in addition to the two complementary corporate tickets already included in your registration fee. You are free to distribute these two student tickets at the career fair to whomever you choose, and the invited students will have a seat secured at your dinner table, allowing you to personally invite students to dine with you. A half-table can be purchased for $150. If you would like to invite more than two students to dine at your table, we recommend that you purchase a full-table.

Full-tables
A full-table seats a total of eight people. When you purchase a full-table you will receive six student tickets in addition to the two complementary corporate tickets already included in your registration fee. You are free to distribute these six student tickets at the career fair to whomever you choose, and the invited students will have a seat secured at your dinner table, allowing you to personally invite students to dine with you. A full-table can be purchased for $350.

**Remember to distribute your student tickets at the career fair! Simply purchasing student tickets does not ensure that students will join you for dinner or even come to the banquet; you have to invite them.

Corporate Dinner Tickets
Two complementary corporate dinner tickets are included with each registration to Evening with Industry. If your company would like to send more than two representatives to the banquet dinner, additional corporate dinner tickets are available for $50 each.

What food will be served at the banquet?
Each dinner will include a seasonal salad, fresh bread, a choice from three different entrees (one of which will be vegetarian), dessert, and beverages (usually water, iced tea, and coffee). The menu will be posted here when it becomes available. Note that you must let us know your dinner selections prior to Evening with Industry to secure your entree selection.

copyrights (c) UW SWE 07-08. all rights reserved.
