Crochet!
I've been crocheting for about 15 years. My grandmother taught me how
to crochet one summer about 15 years ago. She says she doesn't remember
showing me, but it is something that will always stay with me.
Until about 2 years ago, I dabbled at an afgan here or there, but
never ventured to more complicated patterns or threads. Now, one of my
favorite things is filet crochet. This summer I finished a cool black
table runner for my friend Becky.
pattern details: [to be inserted ASAP]
- black cotton bedspread weight thread
- size 7 steel hook
Yesterday I started a new project - crochet a rug! The pattern calls
for 3 strands of yarn to be crocheted together... This is an easy and
fast pattern for a 48" round rug. I'm using some worsted weight acrylic
yarn I had lying around. Last night I finished about 1/4 of the pattern
in about 1.5 hours.
pattern details: [to be inserted ASAP]
- creme colored worsted weight acrylic yarn (34g)
- size P aluminum hook (I'm using size K)
