Printing custom designs on to various media

Introduction

According to the progresses in the printing technology, the times of considering printing to be something that’s only done on paper are passé. Indeed, nowadays it is pretty hard to imagine anything that you cannot be printed from a computer. You can not just print on any type of paper you can think of but as well on CDs and DVDs, T-Shirts, plastics and even metals – there are computer printer for almost every occasion. Just about anyone can become self-sufficient in custom design and printing on to any type of media. Let’s face it, designing and then printing your own things at home is fun!

Design your own print items

You are not an artist talent – and you are not very secure when it comes to designing something? Don’t worry; there are special pieces of software that will help you out. There is even no need of buying special software; if you have a recent MS Word version it is almost sure that one of the templates will match what you need. It will guide you through any feature for example printing personalized Invitations. Using those templates does have a disadvantage – everyone else using MS Word does have access to the same template as your invitation will not be standing out from the others. Of course it is more difficult designing something that’s truly original and different to all the others. But never mind, you can put a little bit of ‘individualism’ into the design if you’re determined to make your own things at home. If Picasso’s and Jackson Pollock’s work is called art yours can be as well ;-) Me, personally I am not even able to draw a ‘stick-men’ in a proper way, so my work looks home made when I don’t use one of these amazing software. I definitely need a professional help when it comes to designing or customizing invitations or something similar.

Print customized items to different media

I would say anyone can work a computer print without wishing to sound too confident. For me this is a 100 % true when someone wants to print on ordinary paper an ordinary text or graphical computer file. Printing business card is for many people already a big deal even using great printer. I’ve seen people waste sheets and sheets of perforated printing card simply because they put in the wrong side up, upside down, wrong-way around ect. I’ve seen people reduced to tears trying to print custom designed t-shirts transfers and put them onto T-Shirts - mainly because they didn’t follow the instructions about the inks to use or the temperature at which to press the transfer. Resulting in frustration and an incredibly messy ‘home-made’ job, that even looks worse than something made by kids in the local Elementary school.

For professional printing job ask the professionals!

Receiving customized and personalized gifts and information is a tread for everyone. As mentioned before, it’s quite easy to prepare and print personalized invitations for a particular function - but it can take hours of your time if you want to make it look just right. Printing t-shirts for a corporate day out or just some fun project could make you spend a fortune on inks and wasted transfers and T-shirts. You will always a difference comparing a professional printing job from a ‘home-made’ one. Some jobs do even require a specialized printer. You might have seen autos passing by with what look like transfers on their windshields or car magnets stuck on their doors - clearly advertising a business or something. Whilst the design on these transfers and car magnets might look straightforward, the cost of a specialized printer for Car magnets might well be difficult to justify. Don’t worry, there are companies specialized in designing and printing, that you can find online, that can design and print just about anything and on any kind of media you can think of. These companies specialize in producing for you the customized look and feel you’re after and will then ship the finished product to you. Reputable customized design and print service will even offer you free samples, so that you can judge for yourself if they are the right choice for you. All in all you will save time, reduce your stress levels and, the potential wasting computer printer inks and materials is going to be a lot lower compared to the ‘home made option’. Probably you may figure that you actually saved money by paying a professional company.
