There are several scholarships available to MLIS and PhD students from both the national organization and our very own student chapter. Scholarships awarded at the national level are available both from the overall organization as well as from different divisions of the organization. Some scholarships are awarded for study and others are awards that pay for travel to the annual conference. We will post information about these opportunities as they come up.

Dialog's Roger K. Summit Scholarship Award

Applications are now being accepted for Dialog's Roger K. Summit Scholarship for library and information science students in North America. Interested students should start the process immediately: the deadline is April 30 and the process cannot be completed overnight!
The US$5,000 award will be presented at the SLA Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, June 3-7, 2007. The award is named in honor of Dr. Roger K. Summit, founder and chairman emeritus of Dialog, for his outstanding contributions to the field of information science.
