     Nina Ulbrich,  Co-President

Nina is a Senior majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Global Health. As a third year officer and Co-President of SHPE, she heads the chapter vision and operations, oversees the executive board, and advocates our cause to the UW and Seattle community. In her free time, she enjoys baking desserts and taking photos.

 Edgar Santos Aguilar, Co-President

Edgar is a Senior majoring in Applied Physics and minoring in both Mathematics and Spanish at the University of Washington. As Co-President of SHPE, he heads the chapter vision, operations, oversees the executive board, and advocates our cause to the UW and Seattle community. and to promote the SHPE mission. He enjoys hiking, exploring the university’s campus, playing guitar, and taking long walks on the beach.

     Marla Meza, Vice-President of Internal Affairs

Marla is a Senior in the Civil & Environmental Engineering department at the University of Washington. As Vice President of Internal Affairs of SHPE, her responsibilities include organizing events, managing the leadership, and taking on the role and responsibilities of acting president in the absence of the society’s Co-Presidents. Outside of academia, Marla enjoys reading, snowboarding, and any other outdoor activity.

Octavio Hermida, Vice-President of External Affairs

Octavio is a Senior studying Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences at the University of Washington. As Vice President of External Affairs of SHPE, his responsibilities include connecting with the SHPE Puget Sound Chapter, organizing and communicating with companies, and acting as President in the absence of the society’s Co-Presidents. Octavio enjoys playing guitar and piano, reading, and playing sports.

     Paula Barona, Secretary

Paula is a Junior studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. As Secretary of SHPE, her responsibilities include updating SHPE’s email list, sending out weekly emails, and recording meeting notes. She enjoys reading, playing tennis and traveling.

Enrique Islas, Treasurer

Enrique Islas is a Sophomore studying Civil & Environmental Engineering. As Treasurer of SHPE, his responsibilities include managing the financial affairs of the club, including organizing fundraisers to collect funds that will be used during events throughout the quarter. In his free time, he likes to go on long distance runs and playing drums.

 Oscar Perez, Webmaster

Oscar is a Sophomore majoring in Computer Science at the University of Washington. As Webmaster of SHPE, his responsibility revolves around developing and updating information on the website along with promoting the SHPE mission. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, playing bass, and eating good.

     Maryam Sanchez, Director of Media and Advertising

Maryam is a Sophomore with an intended major of Industrial and Systems Engineering and a minor in Computational Finance and Risk Management at the University of Washington. As Director of Media and Advertising of SHPE, her responsibilities are to promote the SHPE mission and values through social media, and keep the social medias updated for SHPE with events and opportunities. She enjoys playing tennis, crafting and cooking.

     José Enriquez, Director of Outreach

Jose is a Junior intending to major in Human Centered Design and Engineering with a minor in German. As Director of Outreach for SHPE, his responsibilities include recruiting new members, coordinate social and academic events, and to promote the SHPE Mission. He enjoys hiking, reading, history, and learning about new customs and cultures.

     Valentina Valero, Director of Community Relations

Valentina is a Junior in Industrial and System Engineering. As a Director of Community Relations of SHPE, her responsibilities are focused around advocating and promoting SHPE to the UW and Puget Sound community through social and academic events. She enjoys hiking when it is not raining or cold, and eating good food.

     Daniel Silverio-Gonzalez, Professional/Academic Development Committee Lead

Daniel is a Sophomore pursuing a degree in Applied Physics. As the committee lead of the Professional/ Academic Development Committee, his responsibilities are to help peers with Resume, Cover Letters, and other valuable resources to improve themselves. Daniel enjoys playing piano, playing soccer, and spending time with family and friends.
