I'm interested in better understanding past climate and atmospheric chemistry using ice cores. My graduate research applies measurements of the stable isotopes of oxygen (∆17O) in nitrate and sulfate of polar ice cores to reconstruct the oxidation chemistry of the paleoatmosphere.
