ARCHBISHOP OSCAR ROMERO COMMEMORATION DAYS
10:00am-2:00pm: Seattle University - Campion Hall Ballroom (on James St. between Broadway and 12th Ave.)
A workshop on the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) as an issue of justice related to the legacy of Archbishop Romero. Local action to defeat CAFTA discussed and initiated. Everyone welcome. Light food provided.

UNITED FOR JUSTICE: FAIR TRADE ORGANIZING

Equal Exchange, a pioneering Fair Trade organization, is bringing representatives of the Mexican coffee cooperative CEPCO (the Oaxacan State Coffee Producers Network) to Seattle. The guests will meet with Fair Trade supporters and explain the benefits of Fair Trade for small-scale farmers. The speakers represent over 7,400 small-scale farmers working to improve conditions for women, children, and indigenous communities.
Join us for a discussion led by Equal Exchange and United Students for Fair Trade on how you can help move the Fair Trade mission forward in Seattle. t this event you will have the opportunity to meet with local Fair Trade organizers for a discussion about Fair Trade, cooperatives, and the lives of small-scale producers.

SFFT helped organize and participated in an anti-CAFTA protest in front of the Bank of America Building on the UW campus where a forum supporting CAFTA featuring Central American ambassadors was being held. Pictures from the protest and forum can be viewed here.
Friday, February 4, 2005 -
SFFT sponsored a show at the Vera Project (1916 4th Ave, downtown Seattle) featuring Anna Oxygen, Crime in Choir and Charity Stripe. The show featured very brief presentations before the show and between the bands on general Fair Trade info presented by members of our organization as well as band members.
