I want to thank all of you for making the Dawkins event such a big success. According to the facilities management, we had approximately 4500 people come to see Dawkins speak which makes it the biggest crowd he’s ever spoken to in North America! I especially want to thank the excellent group of volunteers we had that made the entire event run like a well oiled machine. Without you guys, we never could have pulled the event off.
If you have any thoughts or comments about Dawkins’ speech, please post them in the comments. Try to be civil and respect the viewpoints of others in the comment section.

I’m curious if anyone has photos of the event they’d be willing to share. I was fortunate to sit up close, but my phone took really bad pictures.

you really do a disservice to the cause of secularism and FREE-thinking when you delete posts (by atheists!) that are critical of the ssu. you’d think you’d see the irony in it. what kind of freethinking are you encouraging here, ssu?

Just wanted to say thanks for your work in arranging for Mr. Dawkins to come and speak at the UW. It was a pleasure to see him in person. Though I don’t agree with his “militant atheist” stand, he does a wonderful job of making evolution and science accessible to the intelligent masses.
