When I was an undergraduate student I had a friend who was Hindu, a Patel. As we waited outside of our physics lab to start I sat on the floor and told my friend to join me. She laughed and told me that her grandmother tells that women should not sit on cold floors. She taught me a lot about her culture, but I never understood why it’s not good for women to sit on cold floors. Can you please explain … maybe this has nothing to do with the Hindu culture!
