October 2006 Meeting Minutes

Since it has been 5 weeks since our last meeting, here is a refresher about what we talked about so long ago.

In terms of official business, we have a new Chatelaine. Muirgheal inghean Alasdair has stepped into the vacant office. If you don't know what a chatelaine is, you should chat with her.

Events:
We have a Bunstable-hosted event coming up. On Feb. 24, the first ever Feastday of St. Bunstable will take place. There will be Ithra classes, dancing, a feast, and maybe even fencing. Muirgheal is autocratting. She is also planning the feast, but she is not cooking it. Cecily will find someone to run dancing. Everyone else will be merry.

We also discussed holding a demo. We received two fighter responses from our initial query, but further coordination had yet to be done.

Project Nights:
For our first project night of the year, Anne Marie and her apprentice taught basic stitching, fingerloop braiding, and button-making. On November 21, we would like to have a cooking night at CT's. Ideas include spicey chocolate drinks and crazy New World food. Muirgheal also volunteered to host a sewing night at her house at an unspecified time and day.

Lastly, we'd like to welcome two newcomers, Shoshana and Tori. They have swelled our ranks by a quarter.
