The College of Saint Bunstable is the name of the Society for Creative Anachronism branch at the University of Washington. We are registered with the Student Activities Office at the UW, but unfortunately we don't have a club office at this time. Our meetings, project nights, and events are almost always on campus to keep them convenient for any of the student body who wishes to attend.

In the SCA, we are located within the Barony of Madrone (Seattle and King County, WA); we are, however, an independent group, even though many of our activities and such are coordinated with them. We are also a part of the Kingdom of An Tir.

We at the College, like others in the SCA, enjoy learning about the Middle Ages (approx. 600-1650 CE) by doing the things that were done back then (aside from dying of the Plague, of course). To learn about period clothing, we make garb for our personas. To learn about cooking methods, we have feasts, and so on. "Living History" is a fun way to learn the hows and whys of what was done in the past.

Within the context of living history, there are endless choices of what one can do, based on personal preferences. For more information on the SCA and living history, see the links section at the left of the page.

In addition to occasionally attending events put on by other SCA branches, we at the College put on events of our own about once per quarter (excluding summer, when we're scattered to the four winds). We also have a business meeting/project night once per month. These are currently being held in the Electrical Engineering building, room 303 on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm-7:30pm. If you're at all interested in what we do, come join us!

Welcome to the Current Middle Ages!
