Meeting Minutes for October 5, 2005

In attendance:

Future Meetings

We're hoping to settle into a schedule of business meetings on the 1st Wednesday of the month and activity nights on the 3rd of the month, though if business can be conducted briefly then activities might be on the 1st Wednesday as well.

Project Night

Our project night activity will be bog coats. If you're interested, bring a 60" wide, 2m long piece of fabric (wool is recommended -- old army blankets work well and pre-shrunk or washed is ideal). If you're partial to a particular thread color, drop Muirgheal inghean Alasdair an E-mail in advance. If you're interested in felting designs on your coat, let her know in advance and she'll bring a needle and give you instructions on picking up supplies.

Cooking Night

November 16th was suggested as a date for a cooking night at Lord Christopher's with Countess Elizabeth. Upon her return from traveling in Europe, this will hopefully be confirmed. Gleann Abhann charters will hopefully be available either next meeting or the first November meeting to be painted. Ursula is in charge of the GA charter effort.

Light of Saint Bunstable Scroll

It was thought that it would be nice to have an original scroll for the Light of Saint Bunstable award this year -- if you're interested and will be around for the entire year, you should make it known to the list/group at the next business meeting.

Upcoming Events:

Events for the year we've been tossing around: combination feast/Ithra (autocrated by Muirgheal inghean Alasdair) and a possible A&S championship. One of the first three weekends in February seemed ideal for the Ithra -- unless any one knows a good reason why we shouldn't (going to work with all of those dates as a possibility). Possible sites discussed were SCCC, University Heights Center and the Greenspire's school. Hopefully there will be more to report on next month.

Fight Practice

We'd like to hold a fight practice and need a marshal. Sundays at 2 PM in Cowen Park were suggested for time and place.
