Washington Yacht Club

Location

Washington Yacht Club is located on the west end of Union Bay, northwest of green can buoy 27 in the Lake Washington Ship Canal. It is adjacent to the highly visible Husky Football stadium. Reciprocal moorage is only available at the 200 foot outer dock. Note that the outer dock is not connected to land; you will need to dinghy the 25 feet to shore to the UW Water Front Activity Center dock.

Length of Stay

Usage is limited to three consecutive days. Reciprocal moorage is not available during Husky football games or Opening Day.

Procedures

No formal sign in necessary. Reservations are not accepted.

Amenities

• Water and trash collection.   No power. No pumpout.  Restrooms available during daylight hours.

• Canoe and rowboat rentals available at the nearby Waterfront Activities Center.

• City services - University Village shopping mall is north of the football parking lots about 4 blocks.  University Avenue is three blocks west of the stadium.  Many ethnic restaurants can be found several more blocks north on University Ave.   Frequent Seattle Metro bus service is available across the Montlake Bridge to the south.
