Capital City Yacht Club

Location

Capital City Yacht Club reciprocal moorage is located on the south east side of Blue Heron Basin, which is on the west side of Tsehum Harbour, Sidney BC.  There is 100 feet of wharfage at the visitor's dock, as well as extra moorage available during the summer when member slips are vacant.  Beware!  There are sticks marking the channel to get to the yacht club.  Depths are near 5 feet at low tide. (Note that this is not at a zero tide, so depths may be even shallower!)

Length of Stay

2 days free, followed by a maximum of 5 days per visit at CDN$0.50 per ft  per day.  A total of 7 days per year.

Procedures

Upon arrival, either check in at the visitor's dock, go up to the visitor's booth to find an available slip, or stay at the visitor's dock if no slips are available. Keys to the gate and clubhouse will need to be obtained from one of the members.  No boats are to be left unattended overnight. 

Amenities

• 20A or 30A Power for CDN$2. Ice CDN$1.50, Barbecue pits at the south east corner of the clubhouse. Please do not BBQ in your own BBQ.  Water, restrooms, showers. 

• Walking distance to BC Ferries at Swartz Bay, long walk or bus to Anacortes ferry in Sidney.
• One block to bus stop with direct service to Sidney and Victoria (#70). A transfer to Butchart Gardens is possible.
• Customs clearance is available at Van Isle Marina (VHF 68) which you will pass in Tsehum Harbour.
