Currently there are 8 people willing to donate for a blood drive, however, we must have confirmation from 25 volunteers to set an actual date.

-Workplace Quality Committee Forum:

An active discussion session for students is being planned for winter and spring quarter, set to take place after a SAF meeting. Topic suggestions have been restoration (winter), and concepts of fragmentation (spring).  Dates are yet to be set, see Melissa for details.

-SAF Dream Job seminar series

It has also been suggested that our SAF chapter hold a similar discussion centered around speakers from various professions and fields of knowledge for next quarter.  Melissa has agreed to head up a committee.  Andrew, Karen, John, and Edie will help.  If you’re interested in helping to coordinate or participate, please contact Melissa.

-State SAF annual meeting:

The South Puget Sound Chapter will be hosting the state SAF meeting this year, May 15th, 16th, and 17th at the Embassy Suites in Bellevue.  Our student chapter is now responsible for the planning of the “Forester Fund Activities,” which are a variety of raffles and silent auctions held at the state meeting from which our chapter will receive the proceeds in the form of grants for educational activities.  Zak and Jason will head this subcommittee.  Please talk to either of them if you are interested.
