Pacific Reefs National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Honolulu seeking Digitization Help!

We have several rooms of files dating back decades, documenting the history, management, and research that has taken place for 22 National Wildlife Refuges and 4 Marine National Monuments throughout the Pacific. Our main goal is to sort through the files, removing any duplicates or junk, and organize according to the U.S. Department of Interior Records Disposition Schedule. We also have contracted to create an electronic database (Sharepoint) that is nearly complete, along with a scanner and capture software (Kofax) and we plan to scan the majority of documents into the database. In addition, we will have a large amount of reference material (that is not technically a "record" for our Agency) and we'd like to organize a reference library for this material. We can offer to pay airfare to and from Honolulu, HI, a stipend of $30 per workday, and free housing at our guest house in Honolulu. We feel it would be a great experience for the right person.

2013/14 Kress Fellowship in Art Librarianship

The Yale University Library welcomes applications and nominations for the 2013/14 Kress Fellowship in Art Librarianship. The Kress Fellowship is intended for a recent graduate from library school who wishes to pursue a career in art librarianship. This fellowship is made possible through the generosity of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation. Through this fellowship, the Kress Foundation seeks to achieve in the field of art librarianship what it has accomplished for art history and art conservation: ensuring the growth of the discipline by promoting the advancement of new professionals.

The Haas Family Arts Library at Yale serves a distinguished array of academic and museum programs, architects, artists and scholars. Kress Fellows have the opportunity to interact routinely with faculty, staff and students in distinguished Schools of Architecture, Art, and Drama; a nationally ranked department of the History of Art; and two outstanding university art museums, the Yale Center for British Art and the Yale University Art Gallery.
