Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F in Europe over Summer 2016

Amsterdam was my first stop in Europe. I got a Vodafone prepaid SIM in Amsterdam at a Vodafone shop on Rokin Street. I paid the guys 15 Euros and that was it! From then on, I was able to access Vodafone LTE. Most of the time, I saw the signal icon to show LTE+, which I believe indicates VoLTE or Carrier Aggregation active or LTE advanced or something. Interestingly, I have never seen that show up in the US, with AT&T. It worked everywhere I went, as long as there was enough credit. I was in Europe June 28 through August 12. My route was:

  1. Amsterdam
  2. Brussels
  3. Bordeaux
  4. Ibiza
  5. Marseille
  6. Nice
  7. Monaco
  8. Geneva
  9. Prague
  10. Helsinki
  11. Turku
  12. Stockholm
  13. Tromso
  14. Gothenburg
  15. Gdansk
  16. Hamburg
  17. Amsterdam

Once I got to Nice, my data ran out. I thought I could easily recharge via the Vodafone NL website but the website did not accept American credit cards. So I was stuck without data until I got to Turku in Finland. I had to get the help of my 2nd cousin who lives in Amsterdam. He used his iDEAL account to add money.

Result of a speedtest I did on Vodafone NL network with my SM-G930F in Amsterdam.
