Hi, my name is Reuben George, and I am a Junior at the University of Washington, Seattle. I live in Fife, WA, but I am originally from India. Btw, if you think my name is weird, its not weird; its just like Ricky Bobby! I will start working as an Intern at Intel Corporation at their Hillsboro campus in Oregon, USA, starting June 20, 2011. More details can be found in my Professional Web Page (below).

I built my first computer EVER over Winter break. Click here for more details

That's me above! The picture was taken when I was in India this past summer. That was when I went out to have lunch with my old friends whom I have not seen in 3 long years!! Boy did I miss them!! To the right is a picture of me when I was 5 years old. It was the picture on my first passport. I am a citizen of India btw, and so has an Indian passport...just that, no other passports!
My birthday is on July 29, 1990. I share my birthday with Benito Mussolini (not something to be proud of... I know) and I have a cousin whose name is Benito (how ironic!). I was born in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia as my mom was working there as a nurse. I was in Riyadh for a few weeks, and then my mom brought me to India. I have a sister, who is 15, and a brother, who is 8. I lived in India until I was 15, and after finishing tenth grade, we all moved to Tacoma, WA, in the United States. I attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Tacoma for 2 years (11th & 12th grade). I also did a year of Running Start at Tacoma Community College. I got admitted into the Electrical Engineering department of the University of Washington, and I am planning to graduate by 2012, maybe earlier.
I love airplanes, computers, electronics, music, movies...a lot of stuff. I collect stamps and coins. I have been doing that since 4th grade, and I am proud to say that I have stamps of almost 100 countries. Not much, but still something...
I am in Facebook, Myspace, YouTube (Username: GreubsAkaRTG)and Orkut. Just search for Reuben George, Tacoma, WA, and you will find me.. hit me up!!

My music tastes are so varied. I love a lot of different types of songs, but not a lot of a specific genre. If it sounds good to me, I don't care what type it is. I like some rap, some rock, some metal, some alternative, some pop, some new age..the list goes on. My favorite artists are Enigma, Linkin Park, T.I (Paper Trail), Jack Johnson, Kevin Rudolf, Rihanna, Jason Mraz and Client.
Last quarter (Autumn 2009), I took EURO 301 (Europe Today), HCDE 231 (Tech Writing I), MATH 308 (Linear Algebra), and E E 215 (Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering). Of these 4 classes, Europe Today was the most interesting to me, even though its not even in my major! I think its pretty weird!
FINALLY! Autumn 2009 is OVER! But Winter 2010 is proving to be even more of a crazy quarter! I am taking HCDE 333( Tech Writing II), Math 390 (Statistics for Engineers), EE 233 (Circuit Theory- deals mostly with AC current), and GERMAN/EURO 302( European Romanticism a.k.a Fairy Tales). Lots of stuff to do!
Winter quarter is over too! And guess what? It is the worst quarter I had at UW so far! I could not believe it! I did not make it to the Dean's List this quarter, and I am really disappointed about it! I got a pretty low grade in STAT 390, but I had hoped that getting good grades in other three classes will offset it. But the EURO 302 class let me down! I got an unexpectedly low grade! The grading is total BS, and the grade I received was completely out of proportion to the amount of work I put into that class! I did get a bit higher grade than I hoped in Tach Writing!
It's Spring Quarter right now, and I am taking three EE classes. EE 271 Intro to Digital Logic, EE 235 Continous Time Linear Systems, and EE 331 Devices & Systems (Microelectronics). These classes are a LOT of work, and EE 331 is quite boring! I think EE 271 is the best out of the three, & EE 235 is way too much MATH than I would like! Oh well! gotta do what I gotta do! I just hope I survive this quarter alive!
I got interested in photography recently. My dream is to get a high end DSLR camera, preferably a Nikon D5000, and shoot lots of pictures. I have a photographer account in www.airliners.net, and I have tried uploading 3 pictures so far, but none of them have been published. The reason- picture quality is poor. I used my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1, which is a 5 Mega Pixel camera with 10x optical zoom. it is good enough to take pictures of people who are several feet away from you, but certainly not good enough to take a picture of an airplane flying miles above you!
Here's a picture of an airplane that I took while we were flying over Ireland when we flew from Dallas-Fort Worth(DFW) to London Heathrow(LHR) on July 21, 2009:

Here's a video that I took and uploaded into YouTube. Its a TI-83 Plus graphing calculator drawing the Toyota emblem. I used parametric equations to do it, and it was pretty easy when I did it back when I was taking Precalculus 2 in Tacoma Community College.
