My Second Computer Build                        (back to home)

I used some components from this system (my first build) and put in this one. I basically swapped the HDD from the other system to this one, so that I basically have an upgraded system.

Here is an overview of the build

As you may have found out already, I am interning at Intel Hillsboro, OR site for a year (taking a year off from college). And because I work there, I get 50% discount on Intel Processors. Therefore I decided to buil an Intel system with an Intel i7-2600K, Sandy Bridge processor. I got it for $159 + ~$8 shipping. Because I shipped it to OR, no sales tax. I bought a Gigabyte GA-P67X-UD3-B3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard from Newegg. It was on a shell shocker deal and also had a MIR. I wanted to use the same WD Caviar Blue HDD from the AMD system, as well as the Asus DVD-RW drive. The power supply is the same from the other one, Corsair CMPSU-620 HX and I bought an OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply. Lastly, I got an Antec One Hundred Case.

I have yet to get my GFX Card. I am shipping it to my parents' home in WA, and I'll be going there on Sept.19. The card will be delivered on Sept 14-15. Guess what?? I got Dirt 3 for FREE via registering the card on the XFX website!! Hell yea!!
