The Residence Hall Student Association

Campus Involvement

There are many ways to become involved in student government and the residence hall community while living at the University of Washington. Here is a small sample of the opportunities.

Peer Review Board (PRB)
Peer Review Board Adviser, 206–685–1738

The PRB, composed of student representatives from the residence halls, provides residents with the opportunity to become actively involved in the student conduct process. The purpose of the PRB is to adjudicate alleged violations of the Residence Hall System Contract and to determine appropriate sanctions for residents responsible for contract violations. Residents are encouraged to apply to become PRB members.

Get involved in this great organization by submitting awards for your residence hall peers who exemplify great leadership skills.

Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW)

Head At-Large RHSA Senator ~ Salil Mathur, salilm@u.washington.edu
RHSA has 44 senators in the ASUW. It is important that every seat is filled so that the residents in the halls have a powerful voice on issues that directly affect all students, such as tuition and academic policy. The ASUW Student Senate is comprised of students from campus organizations, living groups (RHSA), and the ASUW diversity commissions. Every week they gather to discuss issues important to students at the University of Washington and establish resolutions of student opinion. These resolutions help guide our elected leaders and dedicated volunteers as they represent us on Shared Governance Committees. All students are welcome to submit legislation for the Senate to debate, and while only senators may vote, there are openings available for students interested in serving a term as a senator.
