The Pre-Veterinary Society at the University of Washington - Spring 2008
Welcome!
This is the website for the Pre-Veterinary Society at the University of Washington. Our goal is to provide opportunities, information and support to any student who is interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. We have been recently re-established and are eager to accept new members. We have two meetings each month, as well as having fund raising events and/or volunteer work planned on one Sunday each month. If you would like to have more information, please e-mail us at prevet@u.washington.edu or come to one of our meetings and experience our group first-hand.

Nov. 19, 2007 -- Join us at the meeting tomorrow November 20 at 5:30pm in HUB 110! We will be selling t-shirts for $11 and discussing great volunteer opportunities from Issana!

Oct. 4, 2007 -- Are you wondering what the Pre-Req's are? Check out the link I added to the left under "Pre-Requisites at the UW". It will take you to the undergraduate advising page for Pre-Veterinary Medicine and provides information including a sample course plan and recommended higher division classes at the UW. Sept. 30, 2007 -- Meeting Times: Please respond to the email sent out by Shannon sent out on Friday.
I want to start the meetings going once everyone is settled into the new school year. I'm shooting for the week after next for our first meeting. I want to get everyone's input on what day and time would be best so that hopefully we can all make it. I'm thinking about monday, tuesday, or wednesday starting sometime in the 5-7pm range. If you have a preference on a day please respond to this e-mail with that day and if that time range will not work for you on the day that works best, please let me know what time would work better. I'll send out an e-mail with the final day and time when i get all the responses. Thanks everyone, i'm looking forward to a great year! If you are interested in joining the club and/or would like to be added to the email list, please send an email to prevet@u.washington.edu and an officer will respond as soon as possible. We sends lots of information including job postings, upcoming events, and meeting times via email. This website will also be updated frequently.
