• UW Annual Etiquette Dinner:
  Monday, January 26. 5:30-8 p.m. HUB East Ballroom
  Registration begins Tuesday January 13th at 8:00am
  
  Need to polish your dining and business etiquette skills? Want to know how to dress to make a positive impression? Then you don’t want to miss the UW Annual Etiquette Dinner on Monday, Jan. 26 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the HUB East Ballroom. Over a four-course meal you will gain valuable information about the finer points of professional etiquette and dress, an important asset in the job search and a skill for life.
  
  Registration is required and must be done in advance. Registration begins at 8:00am on Tuesday, January 13th, 2009, and will be available at http://careers.washington.edu. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the UW Career Center (134 Mary Gates) on a first-come, first-served basis for purchase in-person, with cash or check, between the hours of 8am-5pm. Cost for the four-course meal is $18.

  --Ticket sales are limited to one per person
  --This event is open to current UW students only
  --Tickets are non-refundable
  
  
• MAPS (Minority Association of Pre-health Students) 9th Annual Pre-health Conference:
  Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the South Campus Center from 9am to 4:30pm (registraton starts at 8:45am).
  
  The day will consist of:
  *panel workshops consisting of different healthcare professionals from areas such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more!
  *hands-on workshops about vital signs, dentistry, and suturing
  *key note speakers
  *health booths section where you can meet and network with various UW organizations, programs, and departments
  *silent auctions for Princeton and Kaplan test prep courses
  *raffles
  *also, breakfast and lunch are provided.
  
  The cost of attendance is $10 for MAPS members, $12 for non-members.
