READINESS FOR ISLANDER SUCCESS IN EDUCATION
R.I.S.E. is an outreach program to assist high school seniors of Pacific Islander heritage transition to college. Participants engage with UW students and staff to gain awareness of the UW's campus resources, admissions process, writing, scholarship, and cultural workshops. Current UW Pacific Islander students play a major role in facilitating educational and empowerment workshops for participants. Community leaders and faculty are also invited to participate as facilitators to share their unique cultural heritage and experiences.

PACIFIC ISLAND OPPORTUNITY AND NETWORK FOR EDUCATION, EQUALITY AND REPRESENTATION (PIONEER)
The University of Washington is committed to increasing the number of Pacific Islander students on campus. P.I.O.N.E.E.R. seeks to demonstrate our dedication to your education and ensure that you are equipped with the tools to help you succeed. A variety of resources will be available to participating students including workshops on UW admissions, writing, and financial aid, college admissions specialists, and a network of current Pacific Islander students and organizations. Most importantly, P.I.O.N.E.E.R. seeks to enhance students' leadership skills, help them plan for higher education, and take advantage of educational and cultural resources. P.I.O.N.E.E.R. is for high school students grades 9-12 and community college students. an opportunity to become active members in the Pacific Islander community, including events such as Polynesian Day, the Micronesian Fiesta, and Filipino Nite.

PACIFIC ISLANDER PARTNERSHIP IN EDUCATION (P.I.P.E.)
PIPE IS A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM GEARED TOWARDS UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. DESIGNED TO HELP STUDENTS COPE WITH THE RIGOROUS ACADEMIC LIFE, UPPER CLASS STUDENTS ARE PLACED AS MENTORS TO THE INCOMING FRESHMEN TO HELP THEM WITH NOT ONLY ACADEMICS BUT ALSO WITH PERSONAL CONCERNS. WITH BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO LEAD AND GUIDE, OUR HOPE IS TO TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER AS FAMILY, MAKING SURE THAT OUR GOALS ARE REACHED AND ACCOMPLISHED.
POLYNESIAN OUTREACH PROGRAM (P.O.P.)
POLYNESIAN OUTREACH PROGRAM IS ANOTHER HIGH SCHOOL OUTREACH AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR PACIFIC ISLAND STUDENTS. UW MENTORS WILL FOCUS ON SPECIFIC HIGH SCHOOLS THAT THEY WILL BE VISITING WEEKLY TO TUTOR/MENTOR.
