Matlab Petrology Toolbox (288 kb/ .zip file): a Matlab toolbox of various functions and m-files of use to petrologists (and others). Included are functions for plotting ternary and tetrahedral diagrams, calculating and plotting bivariate histograms and density plots, calculating viscosity and volatile solubility in natural melts, etc. Readme.txt found in the unzipped download lists the entire contents of the toolbox and the purpose of each file.

1 atm Cpx/Plag/Ol saturated pseudocotectic (3.9 mb/ .avi file): a video clip of a rotating basalt tetrahedron illustrating the experimentally determined 1 atm pseudocotectic. This video was created in Matlab using tools in the petrology toolbox.
