Philanthropy"I will be a good and loyal citizen." These are words the Phitau man lives by, hence we are dedicated to being involved in our community through service. Throughout the year, Phi Kappa Tau is involved in philanthropic endeavors as well as personal community services work. We have two annual events at our chapter every year to raise money for our philanthropy, Hole in the Wall Camps, particularly Camp Korey. In the fall, we host a Haunted House and in the spring we host a Parent's Banquet Fundraiser. Both events allow us to show off our very best while raising money. The Haunted House is the only one in the U District and attracts most of the greek community over the course of the weekend. The Parent Banquet allows us to show off the best of our house to our families while teaching them about the organizations we are associated with. Throughout the academic year our chapter is also involved with sorority philanthropy events furthering our donations to charity. These events also allow us to make new friends in our community. The average man at our chapter completes more than 30 hours of community service annually. These endeavors are done individually, as a group of brothers, or with other members of the UW community.
