"Out in the Classroom"

"Out in the Classroom" will feature three UW instructors from the English department -- Evalie Horner, TA; Ian Sherman, TA; and Associate Professor Kate Cummings.  Kate Cummings has been active in the queer community here on campus for many years and served on the President's Task Force on Gay, Bisexual, Lesbian, and Transgender Issues.

This will be an informal roundtable discussion.  Presenters will briefly share their thoughts and ideas relating to being an out (or not) Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender instructor at the university level. Discussion will follow.

All members of the University community are encouraged to attend -- faculty, staff, TAs, RAs and most of all ... students!
