I am a second year MS student at the University of Washington Department of Biostatistics. I hold an undergraduate degree in mathematics, also from the University of Washington.

My masters thesis project with Amy Willis focuses on estimating the number of latent species in ecological samples, especially microbial samples. We are exploring the case of replicate data as a potential avenue for tuning a previously published penalized maximum likelihood method.

I am also working as a Research Assistant with Noah Simon, in collaboration with Nora Disis, at the UW Tumor Vaccine group. This project focuses on whether the immune response to cancer vaccines is associated with sequence homology between humans and the human microbiome.

I am on the job market and expecting to graduate in June 2019. If you are finding this page after then please try me at
