Founding Principles

Delta Upsilon's mission is Building Better Men by focusing on the fraternity's non-secret heritage and Four Founding Principles:

The Promotion of Friendship
The Development of Character
The Diffusion of Liberal Culture
The Advancement of Justice

Our Greek motto is "Dikaia Upotheke" which means "Justice Our Foundation". Each D.U. member strives to uphold this motto in ever aspect of his life and pursues that which is just and fair.

Brothers Across the Nation (And Up North)

When you join Delta Upsilon Washington Chapter, you are not only becoming part of our large house, but part of an international brotherhood. During school breaks many of the brothers travel to different chapters and crash on couches for the evening. Every summer all of the chapters send representative (who usually travel for free) to the Leadership Institute to learn how to better ourselves and our chapters. This summer (2009) we will be sending fifteen members to Albany, New York!
