about NRHH |
|||||||||||||||
Kristen Harrell was a student here at UW who went on to become an RA. In 1997, Kristen Harrell founded our NRHH chapter. She graduated from UW in 2000 and then went on to become an RD here at UW in McMahon as well as Stevens/Mercer. During Kristens 8 years as a student and staff member she displayed exemplary leadership and dedication to the residence hall community. She was loved by her staff and colleagues. Kristen Harrell left at the end of 2004 to pursue a graduate degree in Colorado.
The Kristen Harrell chapter of the NRHH believes in the importance of recognition of student leaders by maintaining a consistent tradition of recognizing our leaders through traditional and new means. Through the efforts of our members and other student leaders, we have acieved recognition on our campus, in the region and in the nation. For more information, please visit our Recognition page. We also believe in the importance of supporting academic success by making strides in educational programming and offering easy access to academic resources (at the bottom of this page are some links to campus resources). Lastly, we believe in the importance of community service by having and maintaining a history of service to our Residence Halls, campus and greater Seattle community. One of the ways we do this is through cooperation with Seattle Works, which is an organization dedicated to linking young adults to community service projects in the Seattle area.
