EMERALD CITY STEP SHOW Black fraternities and sororities at the University of Washington are sponsoring the Emerald City Step Show, on Saturday, May 18, 2002 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bank of America, Hec Edmundson Pavilion. The Step Show is a tradition at the UW featuring high stepping, sexy, smoothly timed and polished members of the Black Greek organizations in the National Pan-Hellenic Council at the University of Washington. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased on campus at the UW HUB Ticket Office (206) 543-2277. The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is an umbrella organization of nine historically black community service fraternities and sororities. Membership at the University of Washington includes: Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Phi Alpha, Zeta Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Psi, Sigma Gamma Rho, Phi Beta Sigma, and Alpha Kappa Alpha. Proceeds collected from Step Show ticket sales support NPHC sponsored community service projects in Seattle. Sponsored by the Office of Minority Affairs, Office of the President and Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.
