Bio I am a graduate student in the Quantitative Ecology and Resource Management program at the University of Washington, just finishing my third year. A native of Seattle, I graduated with a bachelors in math and anthropology from the UW in 2003. Prior to entering graduate school, I taught high school math, science, and health at Educational Advancement Academy. I work in the Gallucci Lab (Shark Lab), working on Steller sea lions. Research InterestsI am primarily interested in the interface between Archaeology and Ecology, although that is not reflected in my current research. My current academic research takes me to marine mammals, marine ecology, mathematical modeling, and occasionally sharks, all of which are also fascinating. I am also interested in the communication of science and mathematics to the public.
