Invitation Letter to N&B Students
Mon, January 8th, 2007
Fellow N&B grad students-
Recently a few of us combined our interests in outreach and education and established a Registered Student Organization (RSO) at UW called "Neurobiology & Behavior Community Outreach." Together we develop and run activities aimed at informing the public about the brain, and we hope that our organization will help build a better sense of community among student in our graduate program. To this end, we'd like to invite all of you to learn more about our outreach efforts by visiting our newly established website:
http://students.washington.edu/watari/nboutreach/
We'd love to hear feedback from you about the website, as well as ideas about how we can best serve the community together, and how we can support those of you already involved in outreach.
We'd also like to invite you to help us plan our next outreach event, a Brain Awareness Week open house in March for 400 local school children. More details on how to get involved can be found on our website, or by coming to our next planning meeting, which will be held on January 22nd at 4:30 (right after the N&B Journal Club) in room T478. We'd love for you to come and share your ideas!
Thanks!
