Teaching Poster for Neurosci Meeting 2007

For those who don't know, several N&B Community Outreach members decided to submit a Teaching of Neuroscience abstract for the 2007 SfN meeting in San Diego. We have been meeting regularly to prepare, and have made a lot of progress! The focus of the poster will be the past Brain Awareness Week and associated classroom visits--with emphasis on sharing educational resources, namely Neuroscience Lesson Plans we are creating based on our BAW exhibits. Sean Georgi and Bryan White have been taking the lead in developing a template for our lesson plans. Once this template is finalized we will be asking for our BAW table leaders to participate in creating Lesson Plans. In this way we will create a library of Neuroscience Lesson Plans that can be used for future BAW exhibits, for classroom visits by graduate students, and for sharing with K-12 science teachers (we will post these to our website.
