I’m a graduate student in the Biomedical and Health Informatics Program at the University of Washington.  I study algorithms for the indexing, comparison, and searching of protein simulations in the Daggett Laboratory, though, for simplicity, I usually just tell people that I study biomathematics.  My undergraduate degrees were in computer science, mathematics, and biology (with emphasis on algorithms and biochemistry) from Purdue University (2001-2005).  For more professional information, please see my curriculum vitae.

Aside from my research, I have interests in social psychology, music and music theory, languages and linguistics, civil rights, logic and ethical philosophy, queer theory, and basically anything else nerdy.  You can see my current reading list here.  Perhaps some day I’ll get around to writing about some of these.
