Who We Are:
We are the first student-run nanotechnology organization in the U.S. and are based at the University of Washington. We have bi-weekly meetings at which members give brief informal (15 minute) presentations on their research projects to stimulate interdisciplinary discussion and problem solving. Lunch is provided.
Brief Mission Statement:
- Stimulate interdisciplinary interactions among the nanotech students from different departments, and between industry and the university.
- Inform nanostudents of career choices in academia, industry, and government.
- Promote discussion about the role of nanotechnology in society.
- Inform the public, children and fellow students about what nanotechnology is and is not. Focusing on the potential and the limitations of nanotechnology, as well as environmental and health issues through outreach efforts.
