About Me
My name is Michael Jongseon Lee and I am a PhD candidate in the Information School
at the University of Washington
. I am being advised by Andrew J. Ko
and a member of both the DUB Group
and USE Group
.
I received my Masters of Information Management and Systems (MIMS) and Management of Technology (MOT) certificate from UC Berkeley
in 2009. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science and Human-Computer Interaction from UC San Diego
in 2005.
My major area of focus is in human-computer interaction (HCI). Within that field, I am interested in computational thinking and end-user programming. More specifically, I am interested in exploring factors that engage beginners to continue programming and dispel any negative preconceptions they may have about programming skills being too difficult to obtain.
