Current Research
My research interests are focused on the use of lightweight semantic representation to describe mathematical models of biological systems (see SemSim models, add PSB '09 once available).  The use of these structures gives the ability to unambiguously identify components of mathematical representations describing biology.  The purpose of this semantic annotation is to provide a computable structure of meaning about the model, which in turn allows for computer assisted interpretation of the physical and computational components of models.  The relationships which are described by SemSim models can be used to help merge, translate, and analyze the described systems.  The broad goal is to help develop infrastructure for the reuse of mathematical representations of biological systems.
