New** - Slides from my talk at BioComplexity X, Bloomington IN Oct 31

I am a Biomedical and Health Informatics PhD student at the University of Washington, Seattle.  My main interest is in knowledge representation of biological simulations of molecular pathways and synthetic biology.  I am pursuing this interest through work in Dr. John Gennari's Semantics for Biological Processes Group with Dr. Daniel Cook, Maxwell Neal and collaboration with Dr. Herbert Sauro.  Before coming to the UW I worked at Children's Hospital Boston at the Program in Genomics and Children's Hospital Informatics Program searching for molecular mechanisms of Autism.  Additionally, I have a M.S. in Bioinformatics from Boston University and a B.S. in Biology from University of Maryland.  As an undergraduate I worked at the National Human Genome Research Institute getting my start in the Bioinformatics field.
