UPN (The Network That Could) Finally Reaches Number 1 in the Nielsen Ratings!

CALIFORNIA - After a long and tough road for the UPN network (constantly experiencing all time network lows with shows like "Kevin Hill" and "The Mullets") its network has finally reached an all time high in the Nielsen ratings over high power networks like NBC and CBS. A major reason for this sudden turn of events comes from the networks' new fall line up. Current shows like "Veronica Mars" and "Everybody Hates Chris" have been receiving rave reviews from many TV critics nationwide. Because of these rave reviews many high profile companies, like Pepsi and Starbucks, have invested almost a billion dollars to promote the UPN Network and its shows.

This investment has sky-rocketed the network in the Nielsen Ratings and has made its lone reality show, "America's Next Top Model," topple other hit reality shows like "Survivor", "The Amazing Race", and "American Idol." The Tyra Banks endorsed reality show, for the previous 3 seasons, has been at the low end of the ratings totem pole behind these hit reality shows. However, because of these company investments, the show is now reaching 20.2 Million households, becoming the number 1 watched reality show on TV right now.

Current UPN president, Dawn Ostroff, is very happy with the outcome and is now in the process of green lighting TV shows starring and produced by Hollywood A-Listers like Marisa Tomei and Jaime Foxx. "This ratings boom for our network has made it possible for more "high quality" shows to reach our network...and I am loving every bit of it!"
