Industry Tours

The University of Washington Material Advantage chapter strives to show students the side of materials they will not see in class. Industry tours are exciting and insightful looks at what a potential MSE might be working on. Many companies have participated in the past, and we look forward to many more tours during the 2016-2017 school year.

Outreach

We are committed to presenting exciting educational material to empower our community, in addition to increasing public awareness of Materials Science and Engineering.

Outreach sessions are presented to a variety of student (K - 12 and community college) and parent audiences using demonstration kits and various media. Please contact our outreach coordinator to organize an outreach event for your class or science fair.

We are always open to new ideas and volunteers. If you have any questions, or would like to volunteer, please do not hesitate to contact us at: matadv@uw.edu

  • Polymer Crosslinking in Silly Putty
