Question: Everyone keeps telling me they ate on the Ave, but I can't figure out where it is. How do I get to the Ave?
Answer: The Ave is the nickname for University Way NE, located one block west of campus. The street is a popular gathering place to eat, drink, see flicks and make copies.
 
Question: Can I use the express lanes on I-5 to get to the UW?
Answer: Yes, if you are heading north; no, if you are heading south. The express lanes run from downtown Seattle to Northgate, the location of a popular shopping mall.
 
Question: How do you pronounce Padelford (the building housing the Linguistics Department) and Suzallo (the graduate library)?
Answer: Puh DEL furd and SUE zuh lo.
 
Question: Do you have a linguistics library?
Answer: Yes, we have a one-room library in Lewis Annex I (II?). It is kept locked. Email or see a UW student for access.
