Mission Statement

We, the Laotian Students Association at the University of Washington are composed of free willing and self-volunteer students of the University or other students with a commonality working together towards a common goal. We strive to be a voice and representative for the UW community and unite Laotian alike across the community.  We gather here to encourage Laotian students to the UW in order to pursue higher education and to provide a resource for incoming students and seeking members of the community of all ages. We work to promote togetherness amongst Laotians and non-Laotians alike which will diminish the gaps and misunderstandings of the culture and to educate individuals or people seeking question about the Lao culture or community.
