During February and March of 2005, I conducted research at Crater Lake National Park. The experiments at Crater Lake were designed to look at thermal conductivity changes in snow with depth and to field test equipment and methodologies for future research in Greenland and Antarctica. In total 77 thermal conductivity measurements were collected from 11 snow pits at depths ranging from 5 to 145 cm. The snow densities ranged from 150 to 400 kg/m3. Results showed no correlation between snow depth and thermal conductivity.
