I am Pavel Nikolai Krivitsky, an aspiring statistician, an unrepentant anime fan, a hopeless computer geek, a wannabe libertarian, etc.. This is my third year in grad school, studying at Department of Statistics at University of Washington. I am interested in statistical computing and social network analysis. I figure, I can't understand people and their relationships intuitively, so why not try the numerically intensive approach?
“In Russia, I was Jewish. In US, I am Russian.” I wish I could remember where I originally heard this aphorism. Born in 1981, in Moscow, USSR, I emigrated to USA in early 1992, and have lived in Ithaca since, which partly explains why I went to Cornell. Now, I live in Seattle. (It would be rather hard to study at UW otherwise.)
What, you've read this far?! Why do you want to know so much about me?
