UWT students live up the new year

Co-sponsored by ASUWT and the Hope Network, The High Rise New Year’s Eve at the Tacoma Club with over 500 attendees was a success. Together, UWT students and members of the surrounding community welcomed the New Year.

Students enjoyed great music and delicious food. To top it all off all UWT students received free admission by showing their student identification cards.

The High Rise New Year’s Eve has been one of the university’s largest events that gave excellent exposure to our campus and its great students.

ASUWT Director of Events and Programming, Tara Farquhar said, “It’s great to see so many of our students attend our events. We always try to involve everyone.”

ASUWT is currently planning Winter Ball that will be held on Feb. 21 and intends to have more students attend than last year.

As we all know, it’s not easy to find time to attend or plan such a vast event amidst the holiday rush. A special thanks goes out to Tony Painter, from the HOPE Network who helped organized the event with Tara Farquhar.

Also, ASUWT would like to thank Tony Grimm, Shellie Jo White, Sabrina Bann and April Bergren who all helped during the event. And of course all of you, who attended. We look forward to seeing you at the next event!
