University of Washington fraternities have an informal recruitment process which occurs primarily in the summer. To begin recruitment, go to our website and sign up for the Recruitment List. After submitting your contact information, fraternity recruitment chairmen will contact you and invite you to events.

The recruitment events at UW can take many forms. Most of the fraternities host events each week throughout the year. These events can range from chapter house tours and barbecues to more elaborate events such as river rafting, camping trips, and concerts. As a potential new member, you should use these opportunities to interact with fraternity members and gauge whether or not your interests, ideals, and priorities coincide with theirs. Take your time, be yourself, and make sure to visit with as many organizations as possible prior to choosing the right fraternity for you. With so many fraternities to choose from, you owe it to yourself to make a well-informed decision based solely on what is important to you. Once you have attended events, chapters may offer invitations to join. You can receive invitations from multiple chapters and after you have received an invitation it is your choice where to join.

You should also feel comfortable contacting chapters personally. Be sure to sign up and enjoy recruitment!
