Resume Workshop

Every law school application requires a personal statement. This workshop briefly describes the different kinds of statements—personal, diversity and addendum. Included is information about why the personal statement for law school is different from graduate school in general, what law schools look for and how to get started with the writing process. Beyond providing easy brainstorming strategies, this workshop also dispels some myths about the writing process while offering some helpful tips and suggestions.

Personal Statement Workshop

A resume is not only a necessary component of your law school application; it is also a useful document that provides a structured and detailed summary of relevant information about yourself that you can use for future jobs, internships, grants, scholarships and more. This workshop identifies several kinds of resumes, as well as each of their strengths and weaknesses. It also offers specific strategies to develop your content and to make your resume effective, efficient and visually appealing. It concludes with several practical exercises in applying the skills that the workshop highlights and tips on how to maximize your resources on campus to perfect your resume.
